Garabon, Gith-Obor, Irkhamish, Kiph, and Niratharn, the five cities of the Thaborian Plain. It is said that in the library of the sea-priests of Uxmal there was a tablet of onyx on which was recorded the history and fate of each of these cities, which were great and prosperous in the dawn of the world. Now the tablet is lost, and there is no sage who knows the Lay of the Five Cities, nor where they stood on the wide plain of Thabor.

"From Garamon to Gith-Obor the beacons flared again,
And cast their fearful shadows on the grey Thaborian plain.
In Irkhamish and Niratham the drums were heard once more,
And in the grey Thaborian dawn the Gods prepared their war."
